Speaking Of Tampa ...

There's a lot to be said for being a "big fish in a small pond", for all involved... show management, the exhibitors, and attendees. METALCON and Tampa are a perfect fit because of it. When METALCON was in Tampa, you saw us everywhere, on the streets, in the restaurants and bars, hotel lobbies; there was always a place to regroup when the exhibit hall closed at 5 pm to mingle, socialize and network. You don't always get this in a bigger city because everyone is so spread out. And what a great commute to work, out the front door and into another. Everything is so close, hotels to convention center, hotels to restaurants. A very convenient and trade show friendly city.

Tampa was a perfect fit for our annual Conference! Well-known major hotels are within a “short” walking distance of the Tampa Convention Center and convenient to dining and entertainment with the new Riverwalk right there. Our attendees are from all over the world and the Tampa International Airport is accessible by all major airlines, additionally quick and inexpensive transportation is available from the airport to downtown. The city offers a newly expanded arts district, beautiful waterfront hotels, restaurants and convention center, not to mention one of the best Visitors’ Bureaus that I’ve ever encountered. I highly recommend that you contact Tampa Bay and Company for your next convention, tradeshow, or meeting.

Tampa was a last minute change in our convention calendar and the staff at the CVB and Convention Center could not have been nicer or more professional. They were quite accommodating in assisting us in pulling off a successful convention with short notice. And what a successful convention it was! Attendance was up, our attendees were happy with the proximity of the hotels to the convention center, and we heard nothing but good things about the city itself and how easy it was to get around everything. Tampa will definitely be considered for future meetings and I would whole-heartedly recommend it.
