The Pasadena Center Operating Company is a nonprofit corporation 501(c)(4) formed by the City of Pasadena to manage the Pasadena Convention Center, the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Pasadena Ice Skating Center. The mission of the Pasadena Center Operating Company (PCOC) is to promote Pasadena as a meeting and travel destination in an effort to maximize economic impact through the development of meetings, conventions, entertainment events and tourism by providing professionally managed facilities and first-class service.

We picked Pasadena to be the home of the largest amateur astronomy show on the west coast because it was at the foot of Mt. Wilson - in other words, at the center of the astronomical universe. It was a wonderful experience here at the Pasadena Convention Center! When I know our events are in a convention center, I expect “average” at best food, and service to match. I would have to say that in the last 29 Home Preservation Workshops, this facility ranks at the top, even with some of the venues being hotels! I love the Pasadena Convention Center. They have great staff and great communication (which is so KEY to a successful meeting). And it’s quite attractively priced. My last event at Pasadena Convention Center was in the summer of 2010, but I’ve also attended a number of events in the complex. What I really appreciate about the space is that they have a great deal of natural light, and it doesn’t feel overwhelmingly cavernous like some older convention centers tend to. There are numerous space configurations to choose from, not just in the exhibit hall but also in the conference building, which is great flexibility for my programs.
